Vicinity Motors ( formerly known as Grande West Transportation Group)\u00a0today (29\/3 2021)\u00a0announced that they\u2019ve received an initial orders for 10 Vicinity Lightning\u2122 EV buses<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0from its strategic U.S. distribution partner ABC Companies (\u201cABC\u201d), a leading provider of motorcoach, specialty and transit equipment in North America.<\/p>\n

The company stated that\u201d\u00a0the order is the first from ABC<\/strong>,\u00a0who recently entered an agreement with Vicinity Motors<\/a>\u00a0to distribute its full line of products which currently includes the Vicinity\u2122 heavy duty mid-size bus, the Vicinity Lightning\u2122 EV and Vicinity\u2122 LT light duty models in the United States. The Vicinity line fills key transit and private shuttle roles within the ABC vehicle portfolio, enhancing its offerings to current customers while expanding sales further into the US transit market.\u00a0\u201c<\/p>\n

CEO William Trainer provided a very bullish market comment in conjunction to the press release<\/p>\n

\u201d \u201cWe anticipate high demand for our clean, sustainable Vicinity Lightning\u2122 EV, and these initial orders mark the beginning of a valuable partnership with the excellent team at ABC,\u201d said William Trainer, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vicinity Motors. \u201cPeople are recognizing the need to move people more efficiently using proven zero emission technology with a smaller environmental footprint, and governments are responding to these demands.\u00a0In fact, just last week the Government of Canada announced a $2.75 billion investment over the next 5 years that includes zero-emissions public transit and school buses.<\/strong>\u00a0With our production ramp up,\u00a0we now have 25 Vicinity Lightning\u2122 EV buses<\/strong>\u00a0in the production phase and are gearing up for significant growth.\u00a0We look forward to expanding our reach and sales in the U.S. through our partnership with ABC<\/strong>, driving forward a more sustainable public transit system,\u201d concluded Trainer.<\/p>\n

ESG comment:\u00a0<\/strong>Due to this latest initial order from ABC\u00a0I raise my personal estimate for the companys sales in 2021 from my\u00a0initial spann of \u00a0$55-75 MUSD<\/a>\u00a0to a revenue spann of $70-80 MUSD.\u00a0<\/strong>Considering how well sales have already gone in 2021 this new estimate should be within clear reach for the company.
\nI also would like to reiterate that Vicnity Motors already has\u00a0orders confirmed for delivery in 2021 which now totals revenues of ~$60 MUSD.<\/strong>
\nThis latest order alone should be worth around $3 MUSD based on a conservative price of $300 000 USD per Vicinity EV bus.<\/p>\n
