Sweden August 5th 2026

ESGFIRE Commentary

CHARBONE has released preliminary, unaudited figures showing gas income for the quarter ending June 30, 2026 up 155% to approximately $0.5 million, from approximately $0.2 million in the prior quarter. First-half gas income reached approximately $0.6 million, up from $nil a year earlier. Full results follow on August 28, with a webinar on August 31.

In our view, the numbers matter less for their size, which is still modest, than for what they confirm. For much of the past year CHARBONE has been a build-out story: Sorel-Tracy coming online, the helium division scaling across Quebec and into Ontario, and a distribution network taking shape. This is the first clear sign those investments are converting into a growing, recurring revenue base rather than a forward-looking narrative.

The composition is as important as the growth. Income is being generated across hydrogen from CHARBONE’s own Sorel-Tracy plant plus helium and oxygen sourced through partners — the multi-gas platform thesis now showing up in the revenue line itself, not just on a strategy slide. A 155% sequential step-up, against 2025 periods that produced no gas income at all, points to revenue that is beginning to compound.

The caveats are real. These figures are preliminary and unaudited, may change on final filing, and remain small in absolute terms; with operating expenses broadly flat versus Q1, the Company is still some distance from profitability. This is early commercial traction, not scale. But at this stage the direction of travel matters more than the level, and a recurring, diversified gas income base is a meaningful de-risking of a story that until recently rested on capacity yet to be commercialised.

The July engagement of IMPAQ Capital for investor relations signals a more deliberate approach to the market as CHARBONE moves into a phase with quantifiable results to report. What the market may still be underappreciating is that CHARBONE is building more than production capacity, it is assembling the supply, customer and logistics infrastructure to distribute critical industrial gases across multiple markets. The August 28 results will be the first audited look at how quickly that platform is now building.
